SIGI Europe AB is in a strong growth phase and is now looking for a Senior Mechanical Designer to strengthen their team in Ängelholm. Your Responsibilities

As our business grows, we need to strengthen our design capacity. In this role, you will work on customer-specific mechanical designs within Engineer-to-Order (ETO), where each project contributes directly to our continued development. You are responsible for the entire chain – from concept and design to drawings and manufacturing documentation. The role involves both independent work and close collaboration in project teams, where you become a crucial part of meeting increasing order volumes and shorter lead times. You will be part of a design team of approximately 13 people and will also have the opportunity to contribute to global development initiatives. At the same time, you play a central role in streamlining and scaling our processes, particularly within design automation using SolidWorks-DriveWorks. Your main areas of responsibility:

• Ensure complete and correct manufacturing documentation for released designs.
• Deliver documentation within set timeframes in a growing and fast-paced environment.
• Optimize materials to minimize disruptions in production and purchasing.
• Clearly communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
• Actively drive the development and scaling of SolidWorks-DriveWorks (configuration, logic, templates, and workflows).

Your Background and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we believe you have:

• A technical university degree or equivalent, alternatively a vocational CAD education (YH) or similar.
• A strong interest in technology and a solution-oriented drive.
• Good competence in mechanical design and basic strength calculations.
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling.
• Advantageous: Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Advantageous: Experience with design automation/configuration (e.g., SolidWorks-DriveWorks) and programming (VBA, C#, Python).
• Good command of English.
