Do you want to improve the daily life, future, and quality of life for the people of Linköping? With us, you can combine important assignments with a meaningful everyday life. Welcome to us!

Your Responsibilities

As a casual staff member within support, care, and social services, you have a meaningful job where you make a difference for different people!

You can work within elderly care, LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments), or social psychiatry. The work involves supporting people in their daily lives based on the individual's needs and conditions, with the goal of promoting the person's individual abilities and independence. The tasks include supporting care duties such as helping with dressing and undressing, showering, and toilet visits, as well as performing daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, and shopping. You will also offer and support people in various activities and social community.

We are looking for you who want to work as a casual staff member during the spring, and we would appreciate it if you could also work during the summer. Even you who are only interested in working during the summer, but have the possibility to do the introduction during the spring, are welcome. During the summer period w.25-32, you have the opportunity to be on the schedule either the first period (w.25-28), the second period (w.29-32), or both periods. The working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend. In some operations, sleeping on-call duty is included, and in others, you can also work night shifts while awake.

To ensure you have a secure start, you will receive an introduction where you shadow and are guided by experienced staff during approximately five working shifts, as well as complete a digital introduction course.

Your Workplace

We have over 100 different operations, and as a casual staff member with us, you can work within any of the following areas:

Within Elderly Care we support elderly people in their daily lives with the goal of strengthening the person's individual abilities. You can work in a care home where you, together with colleagues, help the individuals living in the home who need care and support around the clock. Some homes have specializations such as dementia, somatic care, or short-term care.

You can also work within home care services where you, independently or together with a colleague, visit people who live in their own homes but need support in their daily lives. During the working shift, you have shorter support interventions booked with several different people. The scope of the interventions varies and is adapted to each individual's unique needs.

Within LSS (The Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Functional Impairments) we support adults and children who have intellectual disabilities, diagnoses within the autism spectrum, acquired brain injuries, or other extensive functional impairments. There may be limited or no verbal language, which means you need to work based on clear pedagogical methods and communication aids. You can work in a group home, service apartment, short-term home for children and adults, leisure center for children and young people with LSS decisions, as well as within escort and relief services.

Within Social Psychiatry we support people with mental or neuropsychiatric functional variations as well as people with substance abuse and social problems. You work with motivating clients to an independent life and supporting individuals in creating structure and routines. Outbursts of behavior may occur, and you must be able to meet and handle more difficult situations. You can work in a supported housing where you provide support to clients around the clock or within social psychiatry's youth operations where you support young adults to integrate into society and create conditions for an independent life.

You who apply

We view education as meritorious. It is a plus if you have started a high school education or have a passing grade in SFI C. Education within care and social services, child and leisure, or post-secondary studies within care and behavioral areas is seen as particularly meritorious. Previous experience from work or practice within support, care, and social services is also meritorious.

For work within social psychiatry and HVB homes (Hem för vård eller boende), it is a requirement that you have a complete education from the care and social services program or have studied at least 60 university credits within social work or health care. Alternatively, another complete high school education combined with at least one year of care experience is required.

You need to be at least 18 years old and able to perform personal care for both female and male users. Since the work involves a lot of communication and documentation, it is required that you have a good ability to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish and have good computer skills.

In some operations, it may be necessary to be able to cycle, while others may require a driver's license. For some operations, it may also be an advantage to have access to your own car to get to and from the workplace.

We are looking for you who work well together with other people and listen and communicate in a clear way. You are self-reliant and have an empathetic ability where you can put yourself in others' perspectives and situations.

Welcome to apply!
