What does the role involve?
As a Business Developer, you step into an established but developable business, where the focus is on further developing existing customer relationships while driving more proactive and strategic work forward. You will work closely with the company's leadership and thereby gain good insight into Kinnarps' overarching strategy and the business as a whole, but also have the opportunity to influence the direction forward.
The role involves gradually building up your own business portfolio with budget responsibility, while also contributing to developing how the entire company works with sales and business. You are expected to take clear ownership where you work with the entire business process – from identifying new opportunities to realizing them in concrete businesses and long-term collaborations.
This means that you:
- Identify new markets, customer segments, and collaborations
- Initiate and drive dialogues with decision-makers
- Develop offerings and business models based on customer needs
- Contribute to shaping ways of working, structure, and strategy
A lot of the work takes place close to the customer, where you analyze needs, develop solution proposals, and drive initiatives from idea to implementation. The role is not just about executing business, but about understanding the customer's operations deeply and turning insights into sustainable solutions – both commercially, functionally, and long-term.

Who are we looking for?
This is a role for you who wants to take a holistic approach to the business and who thrives in the borderland between strategy, consulting, project management, and sales.
You are a person who:
- Has a strong business drive and is accustomed to taking own initiatives
- Is analytical and sees opportunities for development and growth
- Builds long-term relationships and creates trust
- Thrives in a consulting role where customer needs are at the center
- Has the ability to drive several parallel initiatives and projects
- Is comfortable switching between strategic and operational work
- Has a holistic perspective and sees beyond the individual business
We are looking for you with experience of B2B businesses where you have been responsible for both relationships and results. Experience in consultative sales is particularly relevant, as is experience working with different types of decision-makers.
It is meritorious to have experience from related areas such as interior design, project management, or workplace environment, as well as knowledge of the public sector and procurement. The role also requires good administrative skills and experience working in different system environments. An interest in color, form, and function is also a valuable asset.
