About the role

We are growing and are looking for you who want to work as a teacher in our General Introduction Programme. You will teach according to our model and serve as a mentor for approximately 15-20 students. We are looking for a colleague who is interested in or trained in special education, enjoys driving development, and wants to help us strengthen our team and operations. As a teacher with us, you will meet students with various types of challenges. What our students have in common is that they have not completed their compulsory school education. You will work systematically, preventively, and promotively with issues that arise in ongoing operations, together with a well-functioning team using a relational and salutogenic approach. Mapping students' study situations, support needs, and adjustments is part of the role, as well as close collaboration with a special education teacher. You will also collaborate closely with a social pedagogue, as motivation and participation are core issues. Communication with guardians and external contacts with authorities also occur.

Qualifications

For this position, you need to have experience from grades 7-9 and/or upper secondary school.

We are looking for you who are flexible, confident, communicative, receptive, and able to choose different approaches to find solutions. You are unpretentious and thrive in an environment where we collaborate and help each other to develop the operations.

In our schools, the personal meeting is important. Therefore, you should enjoy working with young people in general and supporting them in their development towards stronger self-esteem and self-efficacy. We value your ability to meet students based on their knowledge and needs, as well as your ability to build good relationships.

You are curious and work actively to ensure that every student develops as far as possible. You have high expectations and dare to challenge every student based on their prerequisites.

Grillska Gymnasieskolorna is run by Sweden's largest non-profit owner at the upper secondary level. Being non-profit means we are run in foundation form and as a non-profit organization, and we are simultaneously non-denominational and non-political.
