Markverkstad Boden is a department within the unit Arméstaben (AST) with approximately 160 employees. We operate in Boden, Luleå, Arvidsjaur, Vidsel, Umeå, and Östersund. We primarily perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground materiel and contribute with technical system support. This entails maintenance in the form of supervision, renovation, repair, manufacturing, disassembly, modification, and repair technical analyses.

You will belong to a section of approximately 30 employees, which includes both mechanics and vehicle electricians, but you will primarily work in a team together with two other painters.

Job Responsibilities

As a painter, you will mainly work with painting, masking, and sanding of various types of materiel such as engines, gearboxes, packaging, containers, as well as different vehicle types, for example, tanks and trucks. The work involves everything from base work, spot painting, and full painting based on established guidelines. Work at heights and in hard-to-reach areas also occurs. If needed, other tasks may arise, such as simpler mechanical jobs. Since work with hardening plastics is part of the job, it is important that you are not allergic to them.

Qualifications

• You have at least a two- or three-year upper secondary education in vehicle technology or industry with a focus on bodywork/painting, or other education/competence acquired through professional experience that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience from an auto repair shop or industrial work, as a painter or auto body repair technician.
• Category B driver's license.
• General computer literacy.
