What We Offer

About Us

Ward 3 is one of two inpatient wards within the Medical Clinic at Vrinnevisjukhuset. We specialize in:

• Pulmonology (Lung Medicine)
• Nephrology (Kidney Medicine)
• Hematology
• Specialist Palliative Care

We care for patients with acute medical conditions, long-term and incurable diagnoses, as well as individuals in the final stages of life. Care is provided in newly renovated facilities consisting exclusively of single rooms – a secure and modern environment for both patients and staff.

With us, you will receive a secure start and long-term development in an educational environment with varied work tasks.

• Six weeks of induction.
• Personal mentor – an experienced colleague who supports you at the beginning.
• Competence development throughout your first year.
• Clinical development meetings in groups during the first 18 months.
• Training in professional nursing, treatments, and disease pathology.

From autumn 2025, we will strengthen the team with two development nurses who have a specific mandate to develop both the care ward and the nurse's role. A key part of their work is to supervise and support you if you are new to us, regardless of previous experience.

Job Description

As a nurse with us, you are the hub of the nursing work. You lead and distribute the care team around the patient and collaborate closely with nursing assistants, doctors, and paramedics to create person-centered and value-creating care. We base our work on the ICN Ethical Code and the nurse's four fundamental responsibilities: promoting health, preventing illness, restoring health, and alleviating suffering while promoting a dignified death.

You conduct systematic assessments of patients' health status using our "head-to-toe" method – every patient is examined by a nurse during every shift. You will also work with medical technology equipment such as:

• High-flow therapy and respiratory support
• Various drainage systems with pressure support
• Equipment for medication-related treatments

About You

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. Since the work involves documentation and daily communication with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of Swedish, both oral and written, is required.

We see that you are open to learning, engaged, curious, and receptive. You are proactive and can work both independently and in a team. Great importance is placed on good communication.
