As a Fiber Technician, you are a key person in the construction, operation, and maintenance of our fiber network. You work practically in the field with installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of the network, ensuring that our customers receive stable and high-quality connections.

In close collaboration with project managers, designers, and contractors, you contribute to ensuring that the work is carried out efficiently and with high quality. You share your technical expertise, contribute to continuous improvements, and are an important part of developing our working methods forward.

Your Responsibilities

Among other things, you will work with:

• Installing, welding, and terminating fiber in access and transport networks
• Troubleshooting, fault correction, and maintenance in the existing fiber network
• Commissioning active equipment
• Construction of building networks
• New connections for villas, businesses, and multi-family houses
• Documenting completed work in relevant systems
• Collaborating with contractors and colleagues
• Ensuring that work is performed according to current standards and safety regulations
• Customer contact in connection with connections and service.
• Contributing to improvements and development of working methods.
• On-call duty according to a rolling schedule.

Worth Knowing You belong to the Fiber Network unit, which consists of 11 people spread across 4 different offices in Dalarna. Since Dala Energi has several offices, there is flexibility regarding the location of placement.

Our Expectations You likely have a background in fiber, telecommunications, or electricity and have practical experience working in the fiber network.

You have:

• Professional experience with fiber welding, measurement, and installation
• Knowledge of the structure and function of the fiber network
• Experience working according to industry standards, such as Robust Fiber
• Good IT skills and experience with documentation systems
• Category B driver's license
• Certification in Robust Fiber is an advantage.

You are a practical problem solver who enjoys working out in the field. You are meticulous, responsible, and have a structured approach even in varying work environments. At the same time, you are a team player who collaborates well with colleagues, contractors, and customers. Your service orientation and communication skills contribute to high quality in our work and satisfied customers.
