Sylvamo Nymölla mill is located two miles east of Kristianstad in Bromölla Municipality. The mill produces pulp using the magnesium process and uncoated fine paper. Multicopy is our best-known product. The production capacity is 340,000 tons of pulp and 475,000 tons of fine paper.

We are now looking for an initiative-taking and collaborative colleague for our Fiber department at the Pulp Mill.

What do we offer you?

We offer you a varied daily life where you work operationally as a technician and have the opportunity to be driving and/or involved in continuous improvements regarding working methods, production and maintenance processes, as well as optimization of costs and availability.

Fiber encompasses the processes from cooking to pulp pumping. The main processes are, in order, cooking, pre-washing and washing, bleaching, and post-washing. In addition, the department is responsible for raw water purification, feed water production, ultrafiltration, the dryer machine, and pumping pulp to the paper mill. The operations shall be conducted with as little impact as possible on our surroundings and, not least, with a strong focus on the safety of employees and the facility. In the role, you will also be involved in projects to optimize production, quality, environment, and costs.

About the position

In your daily work as a technician, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing operations within Fiber, primarily Bleaching and Papermaking.

You will also:

• Conduct follow-ups of daily operations
• Participate in prioritizing maintenance and improvement initiatives within the department
• Ensure that information and collaboration function in the best possible way
• As a production technician, you are part of the Pulp Mill's operations leadership
• Have very close collaboration with Production Technicians for Cooking and Washing, but also with operators and maintenance staff
• Conduct troubleshooting in the process and suggest improvement measures

Your knowledge and experience

You have a high school diploma with a technical focus and experience working in the pulp industry. You preferably have post-secondary education in the pulp industry or alternatively other education/experience that can be assessed as equivalent. If you have previous leadership experience – both from work or leisure – it is an advantage.

You express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish and English, and you have good computer skills, for example, process control systems, SAP, and Microsoft 365. A B-driver's license is a requirement for our positions.

Working hours are during the day, and the position is full-time with appointment according to agreement.
