Welcome to Eskilstuna on the shores of Lake Mälaren, an idyllic medium-sized city with industrial areas and the Eskilstuna River flowing through the city center. Here you will find everything you could wish for, and if something is missing, Stockholm is just an hour away by either a good train connection or car via the E20. At Mälarsjukhuset, we have an emergency department that is open 24/7. We work together with emergency physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and paramedics. Our goal is for the patient to feel safe, receive the right care and treatment, and feel helped after their visit with us. We constantly strive to develop and improve care processes and working methods so that we meet the patient's needs.

We review working methods, staffing, and the work environment, and we have now moved into our new premises where our brand new pediatric emergency clinic has opened. We are in need of more colleagues!

Your Responsibilities

The work includes, among other things, assessment of acutely ill patients, medication management, documentation, and nursing care. We offer onboarding and continuous training so that you feel secure and develop in your role, both as a nurse and in future leadership positions. As a nurse at our workplace, you have the opportunity to gain broad competence in the acute care of all different patient categories, such as surgical patients, medical patients, and pediatric patients. This provides varied work as a nurse with us.

• With the patient perspective in focus, you as a nurse hold nursing responsibility for the patient.
• Collaboration and communication are an important part of the daily work.
• The education nurse at the emergency department drives, together with management, competence development for all staff to, among other things, increase knowledge, patient safety, and security.
• We offer the opportunity to be involved in business development at several different levels.

Your Qualifications

You are a licensed nurse. Further education as a pediatric nurse, emergency nurse, or district nurse, as well as experience with sick children, is meritorious. As a person, you are independent and structured. You relate to others in a listening and flexible manner, are flexible, and have good teamwork skills. In meetings with patients, you have an empathetic and service-oriented approach. We view positively if you would like to study specialist education in pediatric care or emergency care at a later stage.
