SKAB Group consists of the companies Specialkarosser AB, Lagab, Groth, ABC Karossen, and SKAB Norway. The group has approximately 310 employees, with over 180 working at Specialkarosser AB (SKAB), located in the pleasant community of Ätran, 4 miles east of Falkenberg. A fantastic location and a great workplace. SKAB is at the forefront of the industry and is the market leader in its product area. Production primarily consists of specially adapted truck bodies for the transport of piece goods and temperature-sensitive cargo. Special is our standard!

About the Position

We are market leaders in our industry, but development is moving at a rapid pace, particularly in electrification, digitalization, and advanced control technology, which place new demands on both working methods and competence. To continue staying at the forefront, we see great value in working closely with our production through continuous knowledge development and improvement in daily operations. Therefore, we are looking for a Low Current Developer for a preliminary study where you will play a key role in ensuring that we translate new technology into practical, efficient, and quality-assured working methods in our operations, with the final result leading to conclusions and recommendations for the future.

Job Description

As a Low Current Developer, you will work very closely with our electricians in daily operations within the project. The role is both operational and developmental, focusing on strengthening quality, efficiency, and knowledge levels within the business.

Your main tasks in the project will include:

  • Working side-by-side with electricians in production and acting as a support in practical work. Provide guidance on technical issues and promote good working practices.
  • Identify areas for development within installation, troubleshooting, and methodology.
  • Participate in improving and clarifying instructions, routines, and work processes.
  • Contribute to experience sharing and knowledge dissemination within the team.
  • Summarize the preliminary study with conclusions and recommendations regarding future directions.

The role involves a strong focus on presence in production, dialogue, and collaboration. You will become a natural contact person for electrical-related questions and an important part of our improvement work.

Employment Type

Project employment initially for approximately 3 months, with the possibility of continued work in various forms.

Qualifications

We envision that you may have the following background:

  • Very good practical and theoretical knowledge of low current systems and low current installations.
  • Experience in vehicle electronics is highly meritorious.
  • Experience in improvement work or training is meritorious.
  • Ability to communicate and explain clearly and pedagogically.
  • You are structured, solution-oriented, and thrive in collaboration with others.
