About the Social Services Administration

The Social Services Administration is responsible for measures, support, and services to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are primarily governed by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Services Act, and are to implement measures regulated by these laws. All operations are characterized by a person-centered approach to meet the individual's needs. The assignment involves a strong customer focus and service spirit.

Joint personnel and scheduling support consists of three units; Scheduling and Planning, Substitute and Recruitment, and Resource and Administration, which are responsible for providing support to most of the Social Services Administration.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for you who are interested in training to become a Nurse Assistant (undersköterska) as an apprentice while working as a Care Assistant (vårdbiträde). This is an opportunity for you who are currently working in another industry but are interested in working in healthcare and social care, or for you who have experience working in healthcare and social care but lack the formal education.

You will be employed full-time and start working as a Care Assistant within Motala Municipality at a unit within home care, special housing for the elderly, or in our swimming pool organization. Depending on your previous experience, but no later than after 9 months, you will begin studies as an apprentice Nurse Assistant within the municipal adult education. You will then continue to work as a Care Assistant but will be given time for studies during working hours equivalent to approx. 30%. The studies are expected to last between 1 to 1.5 years, after which you will be a qualified Nurse Assistant.

As a Care Assistant and Nurse Assistant in Motala Municipality, you work to provide our users with good care and support based on their individual needs and wishes. You should guide, support, and motivate the user to manage their daily routines in the best possible way based on their own abilities, in a respectful manner.

We offer a varied job with a focus on daily care measures. You perform tasks related to personal care, support during meals, social interaction, accompaniment, service measures, etc. You will also perform health and medical care tasks on delegation and document in our journal systems.

As a qualified Nurse Assistant within the municipality, you will also be a permanent contact person for care, which means that you work actively to create safe and trust-based relationships. The work requires great commitment and that you yourself participate actively to develop and improve the operations.

Qualifications

Formal Competencies:

• You who apply should be prepared to begin studies to become a Nurse Assistant as an apprentice in the position within approx. 9 months of work as a Care Assistant, or earlier depending on previous experience.
• You should have a grade in Swedish/Swedish as a second language from primary school or basic Swedish as a second language/Swedish from municipal adult education (completed course part 4).
• Experience using the computer as a support in work and adapt easily to new digital tools.
• Have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish as the work involves documentation and much dialogue with colleagues and users.
• It is meritorious if you have previous experience of care and support-related tasks.
• It is meritorious if you have a driver's license.

• You work well with other people. Relate to them in a listening and smooth way.

Employment Type and Working Hours

Employment Type: Permanent position.
Working Hours: Weekdays, evenings, and weekends, incl. major holidays.
