We are looking for a CNC operator with experience in CAM and SolidWorks for industrial production in Vetlanda. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines for machining parts according to drawings and work orders. You will have significant responsibility for preparing and programming, then running the machine in short series, ensuring high quality, efficient workflow, and on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Program and simulate machining programs in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360 CAM, or equivalent) and create and adapt toolpaths based on drawings and materials.
• Construct, read, and modify 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks to ensure correct part documentation and fixturing during machining.
• Set up and operate CNC machines (milling and/or turning), monitor processes, perform test runs, and adjust tools and parameters to achieve specific tolerances and surface quality.
• Perform measurements and quality controls using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.), document results, and report deviations.
• Collaborate with production, tooling, and design departments to optimize manufacturing processes and solve technical challenges.
• Maintain and service machines, tools, and fixtures, and follow safety and working environment procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement work to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve quality.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Documented experience working as a CNC operator with self-programming in CAM software and operating milling and/or turning machines.
• Experience with SolidWorks for reading, modifying, and creating 3D models and technical drawings.
• Good understanding of technical drawings, tolerances, material properties, and machining methods.
• Experience with measurement and use of measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Knowledge of tool selection, tool changing, and basic tool setting is considered an advantage.
• Ability to work systematically, troubleshoot machine-related issues, and suggest process improvements.
• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, for internal communication and documentation.

Employment Conditions and Application
