About the position

As a Test Engineer at Nederman in Helsingborg, you will contribute to the development of future air filtration solutions. You will have the opportunity to work practically by planning, rigging, and conducting tests on large systems and components, analyzing results, and driving product improvements. In this role, you are expected to have the drive to move from manual measurements to automated solutions, where you will set up the logic required to collect data in a modern and efficient way. The role combines technology, workshop, and innovation in a creative environment with significant responsibility.

You will become part of a small and tight-knit product development team consisting of a test engineer and a lab engineer, collaborating closely with designers, project managers, and global development teams within Nederman. Here, you have great freedom to influence test setups, methodology, and working methods, as well as the opportunity to take broad responsibility in both planning and execution.

What we offer

  • A key role where you get to build and shape Nederman's testing operations. Here you will have significant ownership in developing modern test rigs and new, smart working methods in a state-of-the-art environment.
  • A secure employment with excellent benefits such as reduced working hours, health care allowance, subsidized lunch, comprehensive insurance, collective agreement, and good development opportunities.
  • Great personal responsibility and the opportunity to influence future products.
  • A workplace where sustainability is central; you contribute to cleaner air, reduced emissions, and a safer working environment.

Responsibilities

This role focuses on conducting extensive tests of industrial air filtration products and systems. You will be responsible for planning, rigging, and performing tests, analyzing data, documenting results, and contributing creative problem-solving to continuously improve and develop Nederman's products. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Planning, configuring, and conducting tests on Nederman's and competitors' products.
  • Producing reports, analyzing results, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Building, developing, and automating test rigs (including VFD control, PLC programming, and Python scripts).
  • Interpreting relevant test standards such as ISO and ASHRAE and designing test setups accordingly.
  • Working with test data management, comparisons, and long-term data storage.
  • Supporting other activities at Nederman's Innovation Center, including customer visits and training.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field.
  • Has previously worked as a test engineer or in a similar technical role where testing products or systems was a central part.
  • Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Has workshop experience: You are comfortable with tools and machinery (e.g., drill, welder, or 3D printing).
  • Has high technical curiosity and a desire to develop within automation. You have good digital maturity and see it as an exciting challenge to learn more about and use PLC or Python to create smart, modern test environments.

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience with PLC programming for control and data collection.
  • Good understanding of airflow and pressure, with the ability to perform technical calculations within fluid mechanics and analyze and interpret measurement data.
  • Experience with 3D printing.
  • Certificates for Saxlift and overhead crane.

To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:

  • Helpful
  • Goal-oriented
