About the role
Svedea is a modern Swedish insurance company, founded in 2010 with its headquarters in Stockholm. With a clear specialist focus, they offer tailored insurance solutions. Today, Svedea has over 300 dedicated employees who together help hundreds of thousands of customers across Sweden feel secure with solutions that truly fit their needs. The office in Umeå is a central part of the operations, with approximately 80 employees primarily in customer service and sales. As an IT support employee at Svedea, you are the first point of contact for employees regarding IT-related issues, working primarily with 1st line support. You take clear ownership of your cases from start to finish, ensuring correct prioritization, documentation, and follow-up, as well as escalation when necessary. Through your availability, quick feedback, and solution-focused approach, you contribute to a high service level and a smooth IT daily routine for the business. This is a part-time role of 4 hours per day. We prefer that working hours are scheduled in the mornings, between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
The work is based at Svedea's office in central Umeå – with proximity to everything you could wish for! Here you are close to restaurants, shopping, and convenient fitness facilities, making it easy to combine work with an active daily life.

This is a consultancy assignment where you will be employed by Academic Work and have the opportunity to work at Svedea.

Responsibilities
- Provide user-centric IT support on-site by being physically present at the office
- Handle the entire case flow: receive, register, troubleshoot, resolve, and follow up on IT cases
- Support clients, peripheral equipment, standard applications, as well as Microsoft 365 and permission issues
- Responsible for on-/offboarding and ensure proactive, clear communication with users
- Document support cases, solutions, and routines in the case management system
We are looking for you who
- Have basic IT knowledge within client environments and IT security
- Understand support processes and case management
- Have a strong desire to develop technically and take increased responsibility
- Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
