Hiring Technical Outside Sales Representatives for Industry and Defense Teams

Swelex continues to grow! Over the past year, we have strengthened our sales team with new colleagues, and now we are looking for two additional technical outside sales representatives. One for our Industry team and one for our Defense team.

Both roles are based on technical sales, long-term customer relationships, and curiosity about our customers' realities, but target different types of customers and industries.

Industry Team
As an outside sales representative in the Industry team, you work with manufacturing companies within automation, HVAC, energy, electronics production, and other technology-intensive segments. You drive business with both existing OEM customers and new contacts – always with an understanding of the customer's technology and business.

This role suits you if you enjoy speed, variety, and technology at multiple levels – from component selection to system solutions.

Defense Team
In the Defense team, you focus on qualified business within the defense and security industry. This often involves long-term projects, high demands for documentation, traceability, regulatory understanding – and close collaboration with both quality and technical teams.

You who apply here preferably have experience from defense-related environments, project sales, or technically complex business.

About the Role
In the role of technical outside sales representative, you plan your customer visits according to our strategic plan and conduct approximately 130–150 customer meetings per year. You work closely with technical sales, inside sales, quality, and our suppliers – sometimes as a solo salesperson, sometimes as part of a customer team.

The role is shaped based on your technical background. Do you have experience from electrical work, automation, electronics, assembly, or testing and measurement? Then we will build something that suits you.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a technical interest and is curious about the customer's application
  • Has experience from sales, technology, or an industrial environment
  • Has the ability to read drawings and understand technical documentation
  • Works in a structured and business-driven manner
  • Has a B-driver's license and enjoys being out at the customer's site
