Job Description

Responsibilities

The role combines user-centered design (UX) with visual interface (UI) and involves close collaboration with several other roles and stakeholders. The consultant drives the design process from insight and idea to prototype and final solution.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conduct user research, interviews, and user testing.
• Create personas, scenarios, customer journeys, and user flows.
• Identify problems, needs, and opportunities through research and data analysis.
• Develop high-fidelity prototypes and visual concepts.
• Design components, icons, and layouts according to modern design practices.
• Work with typography, color systems, and visual guidelines.
• Ensure that the design follows the company's design system – or contribute to developing one.
• Create design that works responsively and accessibly across different platforms.
• Work closely with development teams regarding design implementation.
• Present design proposals and lead workshops to engage teams and stakeholders.
• Participate in product planning and contribute design perspectives to strategic decisions.
• Follow up on implementations and ensure that the design is correctly translated into the product.
• Conduct and analyze user testing for continuous improvement.
• Ensure good accessibility according to WCAG and other standards.

If necessary, it may become relevant to work with tasks that usually fall under the roles of Business Analyst or Product Owner.

Requirements

1. At least 10 years of professional experience within the last 15 years as a UX/UI Designer, covering both UX design (incl. user interviews, usability testing, personas, customer journeys/user journeys, and information architecture) and UI design (incl. typography, iconography, color systems, and design principles). Alternatively, at least 7 years of professional experience within the last 10 years as a UX/UI Designer covering both UX and UI design, plus a university degree (120p/180hp) in UX, Interaction Design, MDI, or equivalent education.
2. At least 5 years of professional experience working as a UX/UI Designer in cross-functional teams using agile methods and tools (e.g., User stories, MVP, Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.).
3. At least 5 years of professional experience creating interactive prototypes in Axure, Figma, or similar tools.
4. Experience from at least two consulting assignments contributing to or developing design systems.
5. Experience from at least two consulting assignments working with accessibility requirements according to WCAG 2.1 or later.
6. Good written and oral communication skills in Swedish and English.

Merits

• The consultant should have at least 2 years of professional experience working as a frontend developer and/or business analyst.
• The consultant should have at least 2 years of professional experience in UX/UI work for applications in an IT environment with very high security requirements.
• The consultant should have at least 2 years of professional experience from the power system industry as a UX/UI Designer or another related role.
