Work 85% but get paid for 100%

This means you work 31.6 hours per week but are paid for 37.25 hours. Wow!

We offer this specific agreement only within the home care service in Degerhamn. We currently have only 5 positions left there!

The Mörbylånga Model – Person-Centered Care

Our elderly care is slightly different from other municipalities. We have received awards for our home care service, which operates under a model we call the Mörbylånga Model. The work team plans their own rounds and can adjust the day based on the needs of the elderly. Job Responsibilities

Are you our new summer star? Do you want a summer job that truly makes a difference while gaining experience for the future? We are a forward-thinking municipality, and many others want to learn from us.

Mörbylånga Municipality is looking for summer substitutes for home care and our residential care homes. We have workplaces in Färjestaden, Algutsrum, Mörbylånga, and Degerhamn.

(Färjestaden is located right at the Öland Bridge, just about 15 minutes by bus from Kalmar.)

Home Care

Here, you help people in their own homes with everyday tasks that make a big difference in their lives. We work according to the Mörbylånga Model, which means person-centered care and support. At our workplace, staff plan their own workdays and are not minute-managed. This allows us to meet every person genuinely and provide support based on their specific needs.

Residential Care

Here live people who need support for most of the day. On some wards, you will support people who need extra care; on others, you help people recover after a hospital stay.

Working Hours

Working hours vary. Sometimes a shift starts at 06:30, sometimes at 07:00. Evening shifts start at different times and end around 21:30 or 22:00. You will work day shifts some days and evening shifts on others. Usually, you work every other weekend. (There is a separate advertisement for those interested in night shifts).

We Are Looking For Someone Who

• Is curious, responsible, and enjoys meeting people.
• Can get to the workplace (a driver's license is a plus, but not a requirement).
• Has healthcare education (this is meritorious, but not necessary).

If you do not have approved grades in Swedish at the upper secondary level, you will need to take a language test.

Qualifications

It is meritorious if you have a completed or ongoing education in care and nursing or other suitable care education. Work experience in care work and good references are also meritorious. You need to be comfortable with IT tools as they are used in daily operations and must be proficient in Swedish in both speech and writing.

Since July 1, 2023, "nursing assistant" (undersköterska) is a protected professional title. If you are trained as a nursing assistant, you need to prove this with a certificate of the protected title from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you do not yet have proof of the protected title, you need to submit a copy showing that you were employed as a nursing assistant on a permanent basis (with us or another employer) on July 1, 2023.
