We are looking for a personal assistant for a 12-year-old boy.

He is a cheerful boy with lots of energy, although his daily life comes with many challenges. He loves activities but sometimes just wants to sit on the sofa and relax.

The boy has speech and motor difficulties, an intellectual disability, and epilepsy.

He lives alternately in two homes: one on Trossö with his mother and one in Spandelstorp where his father lives. There is good communication between the parents.

We are looking for someone with experience working with children, preferably children with diagnoses and their specific challenges. You should be calm, creative, and good at coming up with various activities, preferably outdoors. The ability to sense the client's mood is important. You should be physically and mentally strong, have great patience, be attentive, flexible, and capable of motivating the client.

Qualifications such as knowledge of LAB (Low Affective Behavior), TAKK signs, Picture Support as alternative communication, transfer techniques, and a valid driver's license are meritorious.

The client walks indoors with a walker, which sometimes requires motivation, and uses a wheelchair outdoors. The parents are highly involved initially to ensure safety and trust, which is important for the client, parents, and assistant alike.

As an assistant, you should be able to relieve the family by taking the client out for activities on your own, but also by participating in activities together with the parents and siblings.

The position is currently at approximately 45%, with the possibility of expansion as the parents hand over more time to the assistants.
