As an Age Control Officer and Mystery Shopper, you will travel around the country on so-called "loops" in a team of two. You will drive company cars and stay in hotels during these trips. The company covers all costs related to accommodation and fuel. Therefore, it is important that you hold a manual B driving license and have good driving experience to feel safe on the roads.

To work with us, you must be available to stay away from home Monday through Friday for periods of 2–3 weeks per month.

The duration of the loops varies between 2 and 5 days in a row. Depending on the month and assignment, the amount of work and time spent away from Umeå will vary.

While you will mostly work in teams of two, solo assignments may also occur.

You will visit shops, cafés, restaurants, and similar establishments to conduct "mystery shopping" or test purchases of age-restricted items such as games, tobacco, medicine, and alcohol. The goal is to measure whether the sales staff requests identification for age-restricted goods.

The role starts with an introduction in early June. The selected candidate must be available to continue working into the autumn.

The role involves age control checks to ensure that alcohol is not sold to minors, in accordance with the Alcohol Act (Chapter 5, Section 5). To act as a test purchaser in the age range where age control is required, you must be at least 20 years old, or in an age that is representative for the legal purchase of alcoholic beverages. This ensures that all test purchases are conducted by an age-representative controller and that all stores are checked on the same basis. The age controls are carried out for preventive purposes.

Additionally, as a Mystery Shopper, you will conduct anonymous quality measurements. This involves visiting a location and acting as a regular customer following a specific scenario to assess specific criteria in the customer experience. We help our clients develop quality and sales in customer interactions and ensure that established routines are followed.

Requirements:

You must have a manual B driving license and be fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is a merit if you are good at expressing yourself in writing and have an eye for detail, as a significant part of the job involves report writing. Previous experience in service roles and/or cash handling is considered advantageous.

The position can be combined with lighter distance studies or other flexible part-time jobs. The workload varies from month to month depending on client assignments. Working hours are primarily during the day, but evening and weekend work may occasionally occur. You must be able to work 3 weeks per month, including staying away from home Monday–Friday during those weeks.
