At Vardaga, we are in constant development. With us, you can grow as a person while making a difference for others. Our culture is permeated by our values – respect, responsibility, simplicity, and knowledge.
We are looking for someone who wants a varied and developing summer job that prepares you for the future – no matter where that may be.
Of course, you will receive an introduction covering all areas – from our value foundation and care philosophy 'The Good Day', introduction to assistive devices and mobility – to meals, hygiene, and documentation routines.
Here are some highlights of our offer to you:
- Introductory training
- Leadership-trained managers and small work groups
- Work clothes
- Collective agreement
About the role
Your task is to provide quality of life. You see every individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs. Thanks to you, those living with us can maintain their lifestyle and habits. At the same time, you develop valuable knowledge about nursing, service, and aging.
As a nurse assistant/care assistant, you play a key role in a team with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists who work closely together.
About Myran
Myran is a small unit with 22 places distributed over three floors. Here you will find a small night-time work group where it is easy to join and become part of the team. When you work nights with us, you work both awake nights and on-call nights. Working on-call means active work on the ward between 17:00-22:00, followed by sleeping on-call between 22:00-06:00; staff rooms are available for resting. Then you work between 06:00-07:00 on the ward before finishing. Awake nights are between 21:00-07:00. You need to be a qualified nurse assistant to work nights.
- Needs-based scheduling: We apply a needs-based scheduling system. This means that as an employee, you have the opportunity to influence your own working hours based on needs and wishes. We create schedules for 10 weeks at a time.
- Team leaders: You have a manager close to you who spends part of their time working in the operation. This can also be a career opportunity for you as a nurse assistant.
- Animals in care: We work with animals in our care and have regular visits from therapy animals.
Your experience and knowledge
We guess that you who apply to us:
- are attracted to a job that is varied and requires great knowledge of care and welfare, but also a talent for meeting people in different situations.
- are a creative person who dares to think independently and take responsibility.
- enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues.
We prefer that you are a qualified nurse assistant/care assistant or have equivalent experience working in elderly care.
Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important thing. If you have the right qualities, we will give you support and the opportunity to grow.
