Internationella Engelska Skolan Halmstad opened its doors in 2012 and has since been a place where knowledge, respect, and opportunities are at the center. At Internationella Engelska Skolan in Halmstad, we make a difference in our students' lives. Today, the school consists of approximately 585 students in grades 4–9 and around 55 employees who work closely together to contribute to a developing learning environment.

Internationella Engelska Skolan Halmstad is now seeking a secure and engaged student assistant who is passionate about the students' best interests and wants to help create a safe and developing learning environment.

Responsibilities

As a student assistant, you will work to support one or more students in grades 6-9 in both learning and social development. You will be present during lessons, breaks, and other activities during the school day – and, if needed, also during after-school care.

You are an important adult who contributes to creating a safe, structured, and positive environment for the students. You will collaborate closely with teachers, other staff, and student health services.

The position is a fixed-term employment at 100%.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF)
• Has experience working with individuals with various functional variations
• Is secure, flexible, and has a solution-focused approach
• Is engaged, responsible, and finds it easy to collaborate
• Has good communication skills and can treat students with respect and clarity
• Is interested in working in a pedagogical environment
• Is proficient in both Swedish and English, spoken and written

Desirable Qualifications

• Courses in NPF, interaction, conflict management, or communication
• Education in pedagogy or social work
