About the role

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you will be a key player in the team developing Investment Funds trading systems. The role combines advanced test automation with strategic manual testing and the integration of robust test frameworks into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test automation solutions while contributing your expertise in manual testing. The role requires a holistic view of quality and close collaboration with development and product teams.

• Develop scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for multiple projects.
• Automate test processes for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Plan and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage test data, analyze results, and report defects.
• Drive improvements in test processes, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Java (21+), object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Experience with Spring Boot and testing of backend and integration solutions.
• Experience with test automation using e.g., Playwright or Selenium, as well as JUnit/TestNG.
• Good knowledge of API testing (e.g., REST Assured).
• Experience with SQL and database testing.
• Experience with CI/CD flows using e.g., Git and Jenkins.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with OpenAPI / AsyncAPI.
• Experience with complex, distributed systems (preferably event-driven, e.g., Kafka).
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and focus on quality.
• Interest in test strategy, improvement, and innovation.
