In the role of a Mechanical Engineer, you will work on defining requirements for mechanical systems in submarines. You will be involved from concept development to commissioning and verification. ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this technology-focused role, no two days are alike. You will work on a project basis with a mix of theoretical and practical elements. In close collaboration with other departments and professions, you will develop technical solutions for a safe and functional submarine. You will work in a coordinating and unifying role for your systems, following them through the entire chain from development, preparation, production, commissioning, and verification. As a Mechanical Engineer, you are responsible for defining requirements for your systems and ensuring they function well with adjacent systems. Process engineering is a central part of dimensioning the systems to meet requirements.
The Mechanical Systems section is located in Lund and is characterized as a friendly team with extensive collective knowledge. Here, helping each other to arrive at innovative solutions together is highly valued.
Your main areas of responsibility:
- Be responsible for your system's function throughout the development process
- Develop system solutions that meet requirements
- Write technical specifications
- Perform system commissioning
- Verify requirements with suppliers or on the final product
- Act as a subject matter expert
- Train users on the systems
- Participate in maintenance projects
Travel within Skåne/Blekinge is required for this role.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
Enjoy challenges and have a strong drive to develop and learn new things. Working with submarines is a unique product, and it takes time to learn. Therefore, you do not need to know everything; here you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues who have long worked on submarine construction. We are looking for someone who is curious, ambitious, and loves solving different problems!
- Hold a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Have some experience in calculation and dimensioning
- Have some experience with process engineering and commissioning of equipment
- Have fluent knowledge of Swedish and English, as both languages are used in daily work

ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT:
This position requires you to undergo and be approved for the current security clearance regulations. For positions where our client has requirements for security classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday.
