Now you have the opportunity to step into a role where logistics, planning, and international deliveries meet. At Olink, you will become part of a global company developing groundbreaking technology to understand complex diseases, and you will play a crucial role in ensuring their advanced products are delivered to researchers and laboratories worldwide. We are looking for someone with experience in order management who wants to work in a dynamic environment where collaboration, structure, and problem-solving are central. As a Distribution Coordinator, you will join a family-like team where everyone helps each other in daily life, while having the opportunity to work with complex products and international transport in an innovative Life Science company. We look forward to your application!
About the Role
Olink - Part of Thermo Fisher Scientific has grown explosively in recent years and has made an impact globally in a short time. Their groundbreaking products are used today by leading research institutes and pharmaceutical companies to drive the next major breakthroughs in medicine. With headquarters and service labs in both Uppsala and Boston, Olink is a truly global player in Life Science. Here, technology is developed and used to provide new understanding of complex diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and neurological disorders, research that can truly change people's lives.
As a Distribution Coordinator, you will join the distribution department, where work is divided into two teams: a coordinator team and a team responsible for kit packing. Together, you ensure that Olink's products are planned, packed, and delivered to customers worldwide in an efficient and high-quality manner. The team is characterized by a family atmosphere where people help each other daily, share knowledge, and have a non-competitive approach to collaboration. You will report to the Distribution Manager, whose leadership is characterized by freedom under responsibility. He has great trust in his employees and encourages them to take their own initiatives and make decisions in their work, while remaining close at hand for support and guidance. Here, there is a culture where it is safe to ask questions, test ideas, and develop in your role.
In this role, you will work closely with several functions within the organization, including Customer Care, warehouse, and production. You play a central role in coordinating the order flow from warehouse to delivery and ensuring that the right products are packed, planned, and shipped on time. Olink's products are technically advanced and undergo several quality controls before they are ready for delivery, which means you need a good overview of the order status and the ability to plan which products need to be picked, packed, and prioritized in production.
An important part of the work involves planning and following up on production orders linked to the kit-pack team's work. You are responsible for creating structure in planning and ensuring the team has the right conditions to pack the products to be shipped, while handling changes in the order flow and adjusting priorities as needed. You are also responsible for planning and coordinating transport, often international deliveries requiring temperature-controlled refrigerated or frozen transport. This includes administering freight and customs documentation and booking transport with external suppliers. The work is characterized by a dynamic pace where planning, coordination, and problem-solving are a natural part of daily life. The team works closely together, and every day begins with short pulse meetings where you go through priorities, planning, and any challenges in the delivery flow.
This is a consulting assignment, meaning you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at Olink. The assignment will be full-time and is expected to last at least until the end of August 2027. There are good chances for extension, provided there is room for it and all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.
