Purchasing and Logistics Department

The Management Office of Region Uppsala is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. The Management Office is led by the Regional Director and consists of approximately one thousand employees. With a governing, supportive, and coordinating role, the Management Office is tasked with supporting the political leadership and administrations so that the political direction is implemented across the region's various operations. Are you a nurse or assistant nurse who is passionate about optimizing and developing purchasing and logistics within healthcare operations? Then you could be our new Customer Manager!

Our Operations

Material Supply is a collaboration between the regions of Dalarna, Västmanland, Sörmland, Uppsala, and Örebro, with the aim of supplying healthcare and dental care with consumables. Each year, tenders worth approximately 2 billion SEK are conducted. We have agreements on a total of approximately 100,000 articles. Region Uppsala hosts the collaboration, and the employees of Material Supply are part of the same unit as the region's own tendering specialists and purchasers.

The position is located in the Business Development Unit within the Purchasing and Logistics Department.

Your Role

As a Customer Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that our ordering operations utilize price competition within the product range efficiently, without compromising safety and quality. You will work in close collaboration with the range manager, ordering operations, and tendering specialists to contribute to realizing savings within purchasing and logistics.

Your responsibilities:

  • Contribute product knowledge to materials and analyses on how savings can be realized through more efficient use of the existing range.
  • Establish and maintain contact groups with decision-makers in our ordering operations.
  • Prepare materials on potential and realized savings.
  • Be physically present on-site and meet with decision-makers in our member regions.

Your Qualifications

  • Hold a university degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Have several years of work experience within healthcare or dental care. Experience in sales is considered an advantage.
  • Have good knowledge of the Office package.
  • Have fluent skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Your Competence

To succeed in this role, we see that you are trained as a nurse or assistant nurse and have experience working within healthcare. Your background gives you a good understanding of how products are used in care and what needs the operations have. Furthermore, you are a meticulous and structured person with a strong customer focus. You collaborate easily and take initiative to develop and streamline work. You have the ability to conduct dialogue, both with the operation's experts in the healthcare field and with the operation's decision-makers with budget responsibility.
