About Fribergaskolan

Fribergaskolan is a grades 7–9 school with approximately 590 students and 75 staff members, located centrally in Danderyd near Mörby Centrum. The operation is well-functioning with very good results and many fine traditions. The school is very popular and has ambitious, pleasant students with engaged parents who provide us with good support in our work. We have a highly competent and engaged staff, as well as good support resources in the form of a well-developed student health service and a permanent substitute.

We offer a fine working environment in our newly renovated premises, where we have invested heavily in a bright and open learning environment with fresh furniture and the technical aids that make creative teaching possible. We are organized into work teams but sit in subject-specific workrooms where there is an open and collaborative climate.

Job Responsibilities

Your work will include:

Planning and preparing daily meals according to the municipality's guidelines.
Managing the budget and purchasing raw materials.
Leading and motivating the kitchen team, which consists of three meal assistants.
Ensuring that all hygiene and safety regulations are followed.
Handling and adapting meals for students with food allergies and special diets.
Developing new recipes and meal plans that promote healthy eating habits.
Responsible for the daily working environment and ensuring that machines and equipment function properly.
Ensuring that established routines and processes are followed.
Collaborating with Danderyd Municipality's nutrition strategist.
Cooperating with the school's students.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

Upper secondary education in the Restaurant and Food Program, or equivalent courses in adult education.
Experience working in school kitchens or large-scale catering.
Experience with budget responsibility and purchasing.
Experience handling food allergies and special diets.
Experience and knowledge of food hygiene.
Commitment to creating healthy and balanced meals.

It is an advantage if you have good leadership qualities and the ability to collaborate in a team. We place great importance on personal competencies for this position. We are looking for someone who is structured in their working method, creative, and collaborative.

Other Information

The position is a permanent employment with the form of "upkeep employment" (uppehållsanställning), which means time off during Christmas and summer holidays. We apply a probationary period of 6 months with the intention of transitioning to permanent employment.
