Hydraulic Designer – Develop machines that are actually used

There are design jobs where you just draw, and there are jobs where you see your solutions built, tested, and used in the real world. At Scandinavian Pile Driving, you do the latter.

We build machines for drilling, piling, and foundation work. Heavy, specialized, and often fully custom solutions. Here, it's not enough for something to work in CAD – it must work in the mud, in the cold, and under real loads. We are involved all the way: from the first sketch to the finished machine in operation. And that's exactly where we think you'll thrive.

About the role

As a hydraulic designer with us, you work with real product development. You are not a cog in a large machine; you are an important part of the whole. Projects vary in both size and duration, from quick improvements to longer development projects. What they have in common is that you are involved throughout the entire chain.

You will:

• develop new machines, functions, and accessories
• improve and further develop existing designs
• work on everything from concept and dimensioning to the final solution
• follow your designs all the way into production and beyond

You will work closely with:

• other designers
• the workshop
• service

This means you get quick feedback on your solutions and can adjust, improve, and optimize. The team currently consists of six designers. Decision-making paths are short, and ideas don't stay on paper.

Who we think you are

You are a designer who wants more than just delivering drawings. You are likely curious, self-driven, and solution-oriented, but also humble enough to test, change, and improve. And you don't mind going out to the workshop to see if what you drew actually holds up.

You want to:

• understand how things work in reality
• solve problems that don't have given answers
• take responsibility for your solutions all the way

We believe you have:

• an engineering degree in mechanical engineering or hydraulics
• experience with hydraulically driven systems or mobile machinery
• experience with design, calculation, and drafting

Experience with HyDraw, Plus+1, or similar is an asset. But the most important thing is not exactly which systems you know, but that you have a practical understanding of machines. It probably shows in how you design.

You might:

• have screwed a lot yourself
• built your own projects
• or worked close to production/workshop

Extra plus:

• experience with heavy/mobile machinery
• knowledge in mechanics
• experience with CE documentation
• experience with ERP systems (e.g., Monitor)

You also need to be able to speak and write Swedish and English.
