About the Job
We are looking for someone who wants to work with qualified and challenging tasks in the area of labor market skills needs. With us, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a well-functioning skills supply in Sweden by working with qualified environmental analysis linked to educational needs within the vocational college sector. You will become an important part of the work to analyze how education meets labor market demands – now and in the future. We believe that you have previously worked as an analyst, investigator, operations developer, environmental monitor, or similar, preferably within the public sector or another knowledge-intensive environment.
In this role, you are responsible for annually collecting qualitative and quantitative information regarding the demand for skills from the vocational college within one or more educational areas. The work follows a clear and established analysis process that leads to assessments of future dimensioning of educational places. The results are published in the authority's area analyses, which are a central basis for planning the vocational college's educational offer.
You will be part of an analyst team, where each employee is responsible for one or more educational areas, while collaborating closely on method development, quality assurance, and joint analyses.
In addition to the analysis work, you will also assist the authority's case officers with documentation in their review of educational applications.
The role also includes that you:
- Interpret and analyze statistics from internal and external databases.
- Identify connections and trends that affect the labor market's skills needs.
- Maintain contact with external actors such as industry organizations, regional representatives, authorities, and other relevant data providers.
- Follow developments within your areas of responsibility through continuous environmental monitoring.
- Participate in other analyses and investigations linked to the authority's mandate, such as government assignments, internal evaluations, or collaboration assignments.
Competence Requirements
- Relevant degree from a university/college corresponding to SeQF level 6 or equivalent competence assessed as equivalent by the authority.
- Current and multi-year experience from qualified analysis and/or investigation work.
- Experience working with both quantitative and qualitative analysis methods.
- Good ability to pedagogically present analysis results orally and in writing.
- Very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish.
- Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in English.
- Experienced user with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Good knowledge of Excel.
Merits
- At least 15 credits in the subject of statistics or otherwise acquired knowledge in qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Experience from working with analysis of skills supply issues and/or labor market issues.
Personal Qualities
As a person, you have a very good analytical and logical ability. You can conduct in-depth analyses and draw well-founded conclusions based on statistics from various databases. You find it easy to structure your work, work independently, and are used to representing the authority in external contexts. Working towards common goals is a matter of course for you, and you enjoy collaborating with colleagues. To succeed in the role, you need a good ability to build trusting relationships and promote collaboration, both internally and externally. We assume that you are aware of the requirements for integrity and impartiality that come with working in a government authority.
We will attach great importance to personal suitability in our selection.
