Controller for Municipal Urban Planning Department – Consultant Assignment

We are currently seeking an experienced Controller for a consultant assignment at the municipality's urban planning department.

• Scope: Full-time 100%
• Start: Immediate
• Duration: Approximately 4–5 months (April–May & August–September), potentially longer. You will be off during June and July.

You will be employed by Poolia but work on-site at our client's location. Some remote work is possible.

About the Role

We are looking for a Controller to step in as a financial controller within the urban planning committee of a municipal organization.

Your Main Responsibilities

The assignment consists of two parts:

1. Receive handover from the controller ending their employment in the municipality (end of May) to subsequently pass the assignment to a newly hired controller (starting mid-August). This will include initiating work on the interim report and operational plan within the urban planning committee.
2. Identify efficiencies to expand the role with tasks currently assigned to other employees.

Who Are You?

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• You have several years of experience working as a consultant in the role of financial controller within a municipal organization, preferably within the urban planning committee.
• You are expected to deliver results from day one.
• You have experience in financial control work, including interim reporting and operational planning.
• Experience with infrastructure registers, water/waste management economics, and tariffs.
• You bring external experience and new perspectives.
• You are organized, structured, pedagogical, communicative, analytical, and a quick learner.
• Proficiency with IT systems.
