About the Role
As Unit Manager for Engineering Design Analyses, you will lead an operation with a direct impact on the design of Sweden's future nuclear power. You will lead an experienced team of specialists and build up a technically broad and strategically central area from the ground up. At the same time, you will ensure the right competence, capacity, and quality in deliveries that are crucial for project progress.
New Nuclear Support (NNS) is a new department within VPS with the mandate to support Vattenfall's investment in new nuclear power. Following the implemented reorganization (effective from April 1), we are now building up three units – and you will be one of the managers shaping the whole from the start.
As Unit Manager for Engineering Design Analyses, you will lead a competent team of senior employees responsible for ensuring that competence, capacity, and delivery capability are established and maintained within VPS according to commitments linked to the agreement with Videberg Kraft AB. The unit currently consists of 6 employees stationed at various locations on both the west and east coasts.
You will work closely with our collaboration partners within BA Generation and actively contribute to ensuring that the business unit's collective competence is used effectively to achieve our common goals. A central part of the role is to contribute to the overall picture within VPS and ensure strong interaction between units and functions.

- Responsible for personnel, work environment, and budget
- Build and ensure competence and delivery capability
- Actively participate in the department's strategic work
- Develop working methods and collaboration with other units within Vattenfall
- Work closely with Videberg Kraft AB and other stakeholders
- Represent VPS in strategic issues related to new nuclear power.
Requirements
We are looking for you who have
- Several years of management experience or equivalent
- Master of Science in Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to lead senior specialists
- Broad technical background, preferably from new construction projects
- Knowledge of FEED/EPC, technical specification, and international standards
- Understanding of configuration management and change management
- Knowledge of digital design support tools
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
- Class B driver's license

Location is preferably Ringhals, Gothenburg, or Solna. International and domestic travel occurs, but we actively work with technical aids to reduce this.
