Our client is a construction and real estate development company that develops and builds residential properties in Sweden's major metropolitan areas. In this role, you will have a broad and varied position where you are involved in several phases of the project. You will work closely with both project management and production, playing a vital role in monitoring the project's economics, planning, and progress. The role entails significant personal responsibility and provides good insight into the entire project process from planning to execution.

About the position
As a construction engineer, you will work closely with project managers and site managers on one or more construction projects. You have a central role in project control and are responsible for supporting the project team in economics, planning, procurement, and follow-up.

You will be part of a project team together with project managers, site managers, foremen, and other construction engineers, working closely with production throughout the project's lifecycle.

In this role, you will, among other things:

• Work with project economics through budgeting, forecasting, and economic follow-up
• Participate in procurement, tendering, and ordering of subcontractors and materials
• Handle contracts, invoices, and change orders (ÄTA) in dialogue with project managers and subcontractors
• Participate in construction meetings and support project managers and site management in project planning and execution
• Create and monitor production schedules and support production with administrative matters
• Work with KMA issues and sustainability work, such as the Building Material Assessment (Byggvarubedömningen)

The role also involves working in the project control system Next and contributing to the development of the company's working methods in upcoming projects.

We are looking for you who
• Has several years of experience as a construction engineer and is confident in independently driving calculations, procurement, and economic follow-up in construction projects
• Has a vocational or university education in construction or equivalent work experience
• Has a good understanding of construction law, especially standard contracts such as AB 04 and ABT 06
• Has experience with calculation and project management systems, preferably Next or similar
• Has a good understanding of both construction production and project economics
• Communicates fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and has good knowledge of English
• Holds a B driver's license
• Is structured, business-minded, and thrives in a role where you take significant personal responsibility while collaborating closely with project management, production, and external parties
