to apply for the job
We are currently seeking engineers within ILS (Integrated Logistic Support) to join our teams in Lund, Helsingborg, Kristianstad, and Växjö. With us, you will work on exciting and varied assignments within areas such as defense, industry, and infrastructure. We work with complex systems at the forefront of technology, from submarines to aircraft, and are developing next-generation products and solutions. Our work contributes to a safer society, both in Sweden and globally, and we strive for sustainable development with a focus on the entire lifecycle.
Your role as an ILS Engineer
Our ILS unit at Combitech focuses on the technical development of complex systems where operation, maintenance, and availability are central parts from the early development phases. The work covers areas such as design-driven ILS, operational and maintenance analysis of complex systems (primarily within the defense industry), as well as modeling and dimensioning of support solutions and ILS/LSA management (Logistic Support Analysis).
In this role, you will contribute to ensuring that systems and products achieve high availability, good maintainability, and efficient operation throughout their entire lifecycle. We work to increase the efficiency of technical systems while simultaneously reducing LCC (Life Cycle Cost) over the system's or product's lifespan. Tasks in this role may include areas such as strategy and leadership within ILS (ILS management), project management, maintenance planning, spare parts optimization, reliability and lifecycle analysis, as well as requirements management and decomposition. Your tasks may also include LSA, predictions, and other ILS-related analyses, with the entire ILS field open to future challenges and development.
We apply established standards and well-proven analysis methods and have access to several established support systems and tools used within the industry.
You will join a tightly knit team with a mixed background of experience, where knowledge sharing is a natural part of daily life. You will have the opportunity to discuss complex issues and problems with experienced colleagues, while also acting as a mentor for more junior employees. The work involves close collaboration with various disciplines in projects, giving you the opportunity to broaden your competence and deepen your understanding of the whole. Business travel may occur.
ILS is an internationally established management strategy primarily used within the defense sector, but also within civil industry where it is often referred to as RAMS (Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, Supportability/Safety). In short, the strategy means that operation and maintenance are considered during the development of a system and throughout its entire lifespan, with the aim of ensuring a balance between cost, quality, and technical function over time.
We are looking for you who
You are technically interested and thrive in a role where close collaboration with customers and colleagues is a natural part of daily life. You take responsibility for your tasks, value clear and respectful communication, and have a positive outlook. For us, it is a given that we share knowledge, solve problems together, and continuously develop our competence, and we welcome this to characterize your working style as well.
We believe you have a university or civil engineering degree in a technical field, or equivalent professional experience. Good knowledge of Swedish and English is a requirement for the position. Having worked for a few years, having experience from a relevant industry, or having worked with project management is an asset.
We prefer that you have experience of or interest in the defense domain or defense industry, but this is not a requirement. If you are new to the ILS field or the defense sector, you will receive a thorough introduction from experienced colleagues and the opportunity to participate in internal training related to the processes, methods, and tools used in our assignments.
It is also an asset if you have knowledge of or experience in one or more of the following areas: ILS, project management, support tools such as Opus and WQS (Relex), experience in maintenance preparation, ILS planning, LORA, FMEA and FMECA, operational safety, system safety, spare parts optimization, Life Cycle Management, FRACAS, RBD, etc., as well as standards within ILS/RAMS such as the ASD suite, MIL-STD-1388, DEF STAN 00-60(0).
Since the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, you must undergo and pass a security clearance with a registry check.
Selection is ongoing. We look forward to your application!
