We are now looking for a new colleague to join our Technical Team in the role of Automation Engineer! Saint-Gobain Sekurit Scandinavia AB is located in Eslöv, and in this position you will report to the Maintenance Manager on the hierarchical level and to the WCM & Digital Transformation Manager on the functional level. As part of our team, you will collaborate with colleagues working on tasks such as PLC troubleshooting, new equipment and automation projects, process improvements, digitalization initiatives, and continuous improvement activities. The role

In the role of Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing and developing our production line with a focus on automation and robotic systems. You will be part of the automation team. Together with your colleagues, you will work on projects and collaborate with different departments. Our production is highly automated, and robotic handling is used between several process steps. To thrive in this role, you should enjoy working with technical problem‑solving, have strong analytical skills, and communicate and collaborate effectively with all parts of the organization.

The role also entails:

  • Ensuring that the technical parts of our production are operating correctly
  • Highlighting and delivering improvement projects
  • LEAN activities to solve recurrent breakdowns
  • Being involved in WCM projects
  • Managing technical documentation
  • Updating technical drawings
  • Updating and solving issues in our automated and robotic systems
  • Being involved in digitalization projects

Qualifications

  • Education in Automation Engineering.
  • 5 years experience of Automation Engineering in a highly automated production
  • Interpret technical manuals
  • Have experience in electrical design work
  • Eplan experience
  • Programming skills in PLC and robotic systems (Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB)
  • Experience in and practical application of WCM tools
  • Experience from working with LEAN
  • IT skills; intermediate level of Word, Excel and production systems
  • Desire to grow towards a coordinating role for the automation team would be a plus
