The position of senior planning architect is located in the Planning and Development unit within the Growth Sector department. Planning & Development is a team that currently consists of nine people working with strategic planning of land and water areas, detailed planning, sustainability issues, land management, exploitation, energy advice, as well as nature and water issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of planning architect, you will handle detailed plans of varying complexity, leading and driving your detailed plans through the entire process, while also providing assistance and support where needed. You have overall responsibility for progress, timelines, budgets, and quality. You are responsible for procuring and coordinating investigations and for developing planning proposals in consultation with other units within the administration, consultants, citizens, and builders. You have well-developed methods for organizing and prioritizing your work effectively. You will help develop the Planning and Development area together with others in the unit. You will be a presenter for your cases in committees and boards as needed. Providing good service and advice is an important part of your work. You report to the Head of Planning and Development, who is your immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for someone with a university degree in physical planning, urban planning, or other equivalent education.
• You have at least five years of experience in developing detailed plans with the necessary documentation or an equivalent role.
• Experience working in municipal operations.
• You have good knowledge of planning and building laws, the Environmental Code, and other legislation related to urban planning.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Fysplan, ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro.
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

Desirable:

• Experience with visualization programs, Sketchup, or similar.
• Digitalization work within physical planning, combined with good sketching and design skills.
• Experience in service and customer contact.
