Summer Temporary Position as Care Staff in LSS Services – The Linden Foundation
Stift LindenSödermanlands län, Vingåker
Previous experience is desired
The Linden Foundation operates LSS services (services for people with disabilities) offering housing and daily activities for individuals with an autism diagnosis. Our approach is based on an individual focus where every resident's unique needs are met. We achieve this through a clear attitude and an empathetic, low-arousal approach that gives every individual the opportunity to develop at their own pace and ability. Our facilities are located in Vingåker and outside Katrineholm in Södermanland. As the operations are situated in rural areas, a valid driver's license and access to a personal car are required.
We are looking for someone who is calm, positive, stress-resistant, independent, structured, and able to follow established work routines. You should have a genuine interest in working with people who think and act differently from the norm. You must possess understanding and humility towards new things, as well as a willingness to learn. Experience with computer usage is required as all documentation is digital. Previous experience as a personal assistant or within the autism spectrum is an asset but not a requirement.
Employment terms and compensation:
You must be available to work all weeks between 25 and 35 hours. We apply a monthly salary for our summer temporary positions. The scope of the summer temporary position is between 85–100%.
We offer an extra summer allowance in addition to other compensation according to the collective agreement: 27 SEK extra per hour on top of hourly pay, vacation pay, and agreed overtime/on-call compensation. This corresponds to an average of 1,000 SEK extra per week if you work full-time. To be eligible for this allowance, you must work the entire summer period, and the payment is made for a maximum of 12 weeks.
Being treatment staff at The Linden Foundation means working to safeguard, consider, and increase the individual's ability for personal development and increased self-determination.
Working hours and on-call duty:
Part of the position may involve sleeping on-call duty. This means you are allowed to sleep during part of your working hours but must be ready to wake up if the resident needs assistance. The remaining time is distributed across days, evenings, and weekends.
Your responsibilities:
Together with the resident, you will perform all tasks commonly found in a home. You are responsible for ensuring the resident receives the care prescribed by their needs. Mandatory work routines must be followed and performed within established timeframes. You contribute to a positive work climate by maintaining a positive attitude towards work, demonstrating empathy, a service mindset, and professional treatment of residents, relatives, guardians, colleagues, etc.
