About the Role

You will belong to the business area Consulting Services and the department Internal Technical Consultants, which includes operational HSSEQ specialists and project managers. Within the department, we have broad competence and various experience levels. We work both within Vattenfall Services and towards our customers in consulting assignments.
As an Occupational Health and Safety Engineer with us, you are responsible for supporting managers and project managers on HSSEQ issues. The work primarily involves supporting with occupational health and safety competence in Vattenfall Services' own projects, but you may also take on consulting assignments as an HSSEQ specialist for our customers. The assignments can vary greatly. Some assignments are advisory and supportive in nature, while others involve greater responsibility. This role will entail taking a more leading role in some projects where you are responsible for driving, planning, and following up on HSSEQ work. It also includes conducting training, planning and driving strategic work, and area-specific issues both internally and with the client. You are expected to be able to take on the role of a sub-project manager in assignments and grow your competence within the HSSEQ area. There are great development opportunities in the role that you help steer yourself!
Tasks may include:
- Participate in projects and assignments as a specialist in the HSSEQ area
- Drive, plan, and follow up on HSSEQ work
- Compile background material/statistics in the occupational health and safety area from internal systems
- Support managers with occupational health and safety-related investigations, such as accident investigations, investigations of working conditions, and more
- Participate in and conduct audits, inspections, risk analyses, risk assessments, and safety rounds in the occupational health and safety area
- Be helpful in maintaining routines and working methods so that they comply with occupational health and safety laws as well as the requirements of authorities and other stakeholders
- Conduct internal training and provide information within the occupational health and safety area
Travel is an important part of the job. The work involves both day trips and trips with overnight stays.
Requirements Specification
We are looking for you who have a strong commitment to HSSEQ issues from a business and operational perspective. It is important that you are a person who appreciates collaboration and finds it easy to make contacts, as you will have many contact points in the role. Since you are expected to work independently, you must also be structured with the ability to plan your work efficiently.
We know you will develop together with us. However, we would like you to already have:
- An academic education with a focus on occupational health and safety or equivalent work experience
- Work experience from the energy industry within the HSSEQ area is a requirement
- Experience in leading work within the HSSEQ area is an asset
- Good knowledge of the Office package
- Very good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
- A Class B driver's license is required as travel is part of the job
