Do you enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and creating stable IT solutions?

Do you want to be part of a sustainable company where technology meets the possibilities of the forest?

Then this might be the role for you!

Your Next Workplace

Holmen is a Swedish forest company with approximately 3,500 employees. We create sustainable products from our renewable Swedish forests and deliver to customers all over the world.

Within Holmen Board and Paper, we work with innovative and climate-smart solutions in paper and cardboard. At our office in Norrköping – beautifully located by the Strömmen river and close to the transport hub – engaged colleagues work within IT, business development, logistics, and customer service.

Here, you will meet an inclusive culture where collaboration, responsibility, and development are at the forefront. You will become part of the IT Business System Team – a central function working closely with operations to contribute to efficient and modern ways of working.

Your Next Challenge

In the role of IT Specialist in Business Systems and Support, you will hold a key position in our maintenance organization. You will work closely with both operations and technology, contributing to ensuring our systems function stably and efficiently while evolving in line with business needs.

This is a varied role where you will both solve acute problems and work long-term on improvements – perfect for those who want to combine technology, analysis, and business understanding.

Among other things, you will:

  • Provide daily support to users, troubleshoot and analyze problems, and contribute to sustainable solutions
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications and develop solution proposals.
  • Test new and further developed functionality in our systems
  • Participate in maintenance work and projects related to business systems
  • Work with system administration, configuration, and access management
  • Ensure and develop documentation for efficient support processes
  • Proactively work on IT improvements and contribute to increased quality and stability

You will have many points of contact – both internally within IT and operations (especially supply chain) and externally with partners.

Here, you will have the opportunity to influence, develop, and contribute to smarter ways of working in an organization where IT is a key enabler.

To Succeed in the Role

We are looking for someone who thrives in a role combining technology, problem-solving, and collaboration. You have a structured working style and enjoy diving into new systems and contexts.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in IT, systems science, or similar – or equivalent experience
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Merits:

  • Experience in application management of business-critical systems
  • Experience in user support, troubleshooting, and incident management
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and experience with acceptance testing
  • Experience with agile working methods and DevOps
  • Understanding of how business systems and integrations work in practice
  • Basic knowledge in system development or SQL
  • Experience in supply chain
  • Certification/knowledge of ITIL and pm3

Personal Attributes

To thrive with us, we see that you are:

  • Collaborative and communicative
  • Service-oriented with a solution focus
  • Structured and thoughtful in your working style
  • Proactive and engaged

We Offer You

With us, you will get a developmental job in a business where sustainability is real – from forest to finished product.

You are offered:

  • A varied role with great personal responsibility and the opportunity to influence
  • Work close to operations where you see the effect of your work
  • An engaged team with high competence and good cohesion
  • Opportunity to develop within both technology and business understanding
  • A workplace in Norrköping with proximity to both city and nature

We work based on our values: courage, engagement, and responsibility – and believe in the power of working together.
