TÜV NORD Scandinavia is growing. We are therefore looking for a new colleague and Control Engineer to join our office in Gothenburg.

Role Description

You will perform recurring inspections of pressure equipment according to AFS 2023:11 and tanks according to MSBFS 2018:3. You will also work with manufacturing control of pressure vessels, piping, and tanks according to PED (Pressure Equipment Directive), AFS 2023:11, and MSBFS 2018:3.

TÜV NORD Scandinavia is accredited by Swedac as a control body and certification body within relevant areas of operation, focusing on tanks/pressure vessels and pipes, materials, and welding. We are also a notified body within the EU for PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) and perform control and certification assignments for material suppliers based on our own and German accreditation.

This is a role for you who want to develop and see the opportunity to drive your own projects with extensive customer contact and influence your own work situation. The role involves regular travel both domestically and internationally, primarily in western and central Sweden. You will be based at and operate from our office in Gothenburg.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with competence and experience in the area of manufacturing, welding, and control of pressure equipment and steel structures, preferably with a background in quality management. You possess broad technical expertise and knowledge of regulations and standards, especially AFS 2023:11 and MSBFS 2018:3.

Furthermore, we prefer that you are an educated engineer in mechanics/machinery and have worked within the mechanical industry and/or process industry. It is an advantage if you have worked in both recurring control and manufacturing control.

Experience in technical project management is an asset.

The position requires a B-class driver's license.

You are a structured, analytical, and self-reliant person with a strong drive to complete started projects. It is important that you have good communication skills, social competence, and a positive attitude. As a person, you have integrity but act without ego in all situations.
