We are looking for someone who wants to work closely with both electronic control and mechanical motion, covering everything from sensor technology and PLC to hydraulics, testing, and industrialization. Our consulting assignments are available on a full-time or part-time basis, suitable for those with their own company or those who wish to be employed by us for assignments with clients. Our clients are found within innovative Swedish industry.

In the role of Mechatronics Engineer, you will work on assignments involving:

• New and existing product platforms: control, monitoring, hydraulics, and IoT integration for real-time data and maintenance.
• Working "from start to finish," including feasibility studies, design, verification/testing, industrialization support, and commissioning.
• Working in environments for energy/industry, vehicles/mobile hydraulics, marine/offshore, construction/heavy infrastructure.

Examples of tasks

• Implement control systems via sensors and ensure robust signal and control loops.
• Ensure seamless IoT integration for monitoring, alarms, and predictive maintenance.
• Product optimization & upgrades, root cause analysis, and verification in lab/field.
• PLC programming, modification/creation of electrical schematics.
• Mechanical design in CAD and component selection/replacement components in collaboration with procurement.
• Test plans, documentation, and instructions; collaboration in cross-functional teams internally and with suppliers/clients.

Your profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechatronics (alternatively Electronics/Mechanics with mechatronic breadth).
• Experience with electrical/electronic systems and control systems, preferably hydraulics and system solutions for large-scale installations.
• Accustomed to working in projects and documenting in a structured manner (you see the big picture and can dive into details).
• Communicative team player who enjoys hands-on work and takes ownership.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and/or English, spoken and written.

Merits

• Siemens TIA Portal, Inventor, EPLAN/ELPROCAD, FMEA, RCA, CAN/LIN, embedded systems.
• Industry experience from offshore/marine, wind/energy, vehicles/mobile hydraulics, process/production.
• Experience in test development, verification, and industrialization support close to production.
