Description
The Guardianship Board is one of 12 boards within Karlstad Municipality, and our main task is to supervise guardians and administrators. Our operations are primarily governed by regulations in the Marriage Code, the Guardianship Ordinance, and the Administrative Procedure Act. We work to ensure that guardians, good men, and administrators responsibly safeguard the rights of their principals. Our principals may be children, the elderly, sick individuals, or persons with disabilities who need assistance in managing their property, protecting their rights, or caring for their person. The demand for guardians and administrators is high and increasing in society. Currently, our dedicated Guardianship Department consists of ten employees.
Responsibilities
The administrator position is a combined role. One part involves registering incoming documents and managing the authority's diary. As a registrar, you help create conditions to facilitate daily work and contribute to us working legally secure, efficiently, and with quality. The second part of the role is to independently review the annual and final accounts submitted yearly by guardians and administrators. The work involves numerical scrutiny where you analyze and control financial transactions. Document verification is a central part of the tasks, where you review and assess various documents and transactions. Additionally, the tasks include reasonableness assessments, where you evaluate whether financial documents are reasonable and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Your assignment also includes other administrative tasks such as certifying invoices, mail handling, ordering, and issuing public documents.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a completed upper secondary education and a few years of work experience in economics and/or administration. You are confident in working with numbers and documents, and you have good analytical skills that allow you to detect deviations and assess the reasonableness of financial documents. Accuracy and quality are a given for you.
You enjoy combining qualified auditing with varied administrative and service-oriented tasks, and you have the ability to stay one step ahead to facilitate work for your colleagues and create good workflows.
We also see that you are a person who can work independently but who is happy to collaborate in a small work group, where your communication skills and willingness to contribute to the whole become important assets. It is an advantage if you have experience from an authority or public administration, but it is not a requirement.
