Production Technician – Focus on Manufacturing & Development for the Defense Industry

Do you have a strong interest in technology and are driven to make designs work in reality? We are currently seeking a Production Technician for W5 Box Modul, with primary responsibility for ensuring that our drawings and technical documentation function optimally in production. With us, you will become the link between design and production – a key person ensuring that what is designed can also be manufactured efficiently, with assured quality, and cost-effectively.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will work closely with designers, the production manager, and production staff. Your main assignment is to review, quality-assure, and adapt drawings and technical documentation so that they function smoothly and error-free in the manufacturing process.

You ensure that the purchasing department receives the correct technical information, so that materials and components are procured in a way that makes assembly smooth and efficient. The role is therefore crucial in preparatory work and contributes to projects maintaining both schedules and quality standards. Furthermore, you update and improve production documentation, instructions, and working methods, as well as serve as technical support to production regarding drawing-related queries. You participate in design reviews, drive issues related to technical improvements, and perform verifications and calculations to meet technical customer requirements.

We are looking for someone with a post-secondary education in production technology, mechanical engineering, or similar. You have excellent ability to read and understand technical drawings and experience from the manufacturing industry. You have knowledge of tolerances, dimensioning, and production methods, and communicate fluently in both Swedish and English.

As a person, you are meticulous, technically curious, and have an eye for detail. At the same time, you have a good holistic view and understand how minor adjustments can affect production as a whole. You thrive in a role where you work at the interface between theory and practice, acting as an important link between the two.

It is an advantage if you have experience with CAD, such as SolidWorks, as well as calculations and quality verifications. Knowledge in welding, machining, or assembly is also a plus.
