We are seeking two consultants in road and earthworks engineering or surveying technology for the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).

This is a consulting assignment based at the Susedalen rest area along the E6 highway in Falkenberg Municipality, Halland County, approximately halfway between Falkenberg and Halmstad. The consultant is expected to be on-site approximately 5 days a week.

The position covers 80–100% and the assignment runs until 2026-11-30, with the possibility of extension.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork skills.

The Assignment

The consultant will assist Trafikverket with contract monitoring and project management for the reinvestment of road surfaces and road bodies on E6/E20. The assignment includes independent monitoring of construction contracts, ensuring client responsibility, and compliance monitoring. The consultant is expected to be stationed at Susedalen rest area approximately 5 days a week and participate in relevant construction, surveying, technical, and quality meetings.

Responsibilities

Production Specialist in Road and Earthworks Engineering:

• Assist project management with expertise in road and earthworks engineering.
• Ensure client responsibility and compliance monitoring of construction contracts.
• Participate in construction, technical, and quality meetings.
• Experience with projects with a total turnover of at least 50 MSEK per project.
• Experience with contracts involving milling of cement-stabilized gravel within the last three years.
• Provide proof of approved training in APV 3.0.
• Competence in BAS-U/P.

Production Specialist in Surveying Technology:

• Assist project management with expertise in surveying technology.
• Ensure client responsibility and compliance monitoring of construction contracts.
• Participate in construction, surveying, technical, and quality meetings.
• Perform surveying tasks with authorization type 2.
• At least 2 years of experience as a BPU-Surveying or equivalent from projects ≥50 MSEK.

Requirements (OBS, Mandatory)

General Requirements (Apply to both roles)

• Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
• Class B driver's license.

Production Specialist in Road and Earthworks Engineering

• At least 3 years of work experience as a construction manager or in a supervisory function (production manager, site manager, construction site supervisor, or equivalent) within road and earthworks engineering. Experience must not be older than 10 years.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the relevant area.
• At least 7 years of experience from projects with a total turnover of at least 50 MSEK per project.
• Experience from at least one contract involving milling of cement-stabilized gravel performed within the last three years.
• Approved training in APV 3.0.
• Competence in BAS-U/P.

Production Specialist in Surveying Technology

• At least 3 years of work experience as a construction manager or in a supervisory function (production manager, site manager, construction site supervisor, or equivalent) within surveying technology. Experience must not be older than 10 years.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, standards, and directives within the relevant area.
• Performed surveying tasks for Trafikverket with authorization type 2.
• At least 2 years of experience as a BPU-Surveying or equivalent experience from projects with a total turnover of at least 50 MSEK per project.
