We are looking for a strategic maintenance engineer focused on Diesel Engines to join the Mechanical Maintenance Strategic group at Ringhals.

About Us

You will be part of the Mechanical Maintenance – Strategic group, consisting of about 18 maintenance engineers responsible for mechanical maintenance at Ringhals. The group works across several technical areas, including diesel, HVAC, pumps, turbines, valves, pipes, tanks, and heat exchangers.

About the Job

As a maintenance engineer, you will work alongside an experienced and cohesive group where we help each other deliver the availability expected of the mechanical components for which the group is responsible.

Your primary responsibilities:

  • Develop and follow up on strategic maintenance plans
  • Analyze and develop maintenance efforts within your area
  • Monitor technical function and suggest changes and modifications
  • Compile reports and create and maintain instructions and guidelines
  • Be responsible for, drive, or participate in change and maintenance projects
  • Keep up with technical developments in the technical area nationally and internationally, and implement gained experiences to improve operations
  • Contribute to planning work, follow up and report deviations from planned efforts, both financial and technical.
  • Act as a technical expert in the field of Diesel Engines

About You

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, for example in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or marine engineering, or equivalent competence acquired through practical experience
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably with a focus on diesel engines. A technical background in other technical areas of the group is also advantageous
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks and manage periods of high workload
  • Very good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish and English

Meritorious:

  • Certification as European Expert in Maintenance Management or equivalent

As a person, you are proactive, structured, and analytical. You enjoy working strategically, handle complex information, and drive improvement work with persistence and commitment. You naturally collaborate with others and express yourself clearly in both analyses, plans, and technical documentation.
