The school is located in the northern part of Visby and includes preschool class to grade 6 and after-school care.

The school is organized into two working units with just over 30 employees. At Tjelvarskolan, all children should come with joy and feel safe. Students are encouraged to be curious and eager to learn. They are given good conditions to develop into independent, responsible, and creative individuals. Your Responsibilities

As a physical education teacher, you are a skilled educator with good didactic abilities. You can organize and structure your work based on specified goals. You have good self-awareness, are confident in yourself and in your pedagogical leadership. You have high expectations for your students, believe that everyone can succeed, and are prepared to create the best conditions for your students. You have the ability to support students in managing conflicts that arise and should be able to teach children in need of special support. You see collaboration with others as a source of development.

As a teacher, you will work closely with your team, the student health team, and other educators at the school. Additionally, we at Tjelvarskolan believe that collaboration around the students' entire day is a prerequisite for creating wholeness and safety for both students and adults. You have an easy time expressing yourself well in both speech and writing. You have a professional demeanor in your interactions with students and guardians while being attentive and patient. You possess good digital competence. We place great importance on your personal qualities with a focus on social competence as well as good collaboration and initiative skills. We also look forward to you contributing to the school's systematic collegial learning with your knowledge and experiences.

You will also be an inspirer in the school's daily pulse work and lead the school's group that works to strengthen the school's health and lifestyle initiatives. The position is a full-time position where you will have approximately 80% physical education and about 20% teaching in another subject, in which you also have the qualifications to teach or alternatively work as a pedagogical resource for that part of the position.

Who Are You?

We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher in physical education for grades 1-6 or will soon obtain certification. We want you to attach your diploma and certification to your application.

You have the ability to work independently and goal-oriented based on Lgr 22. It is also important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances in the organization. We are looking for someone who is attentive, curious, and development-oriented.

You take initiative, find it easy to collaborate, and create good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. You will become an important piece of the puzzle in our organization!

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
