Summer School on Gotland
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Summer School
We are planning summer school in four locations on Gotland: Roma, Klinte, Slite, and Hemse.
Do you want to work extra and make a difference for students on their way to high school? Perhaps you are retired, studying to become a teacher, or have just completed your teacher training? We are looking for teachers specializing in grades 7-9 who are engaged and willing to work for two weeks during the summer. The period runs from June 8 to June 18, 2026.
Your Responsibilities
You will teach students who need to catch up on subjects to qualify for high school, primarily students in grade 9. You are expected to lead instruction based on the student's needs and be responsible for the planning that follows the student. You will conduct structured teaching according to Lgr 22, analyze your teaching, and assess student results.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with a teaching degree. We prefer that you are qualified for grades 7-9 in Swedish, mathematics, English, science subjects, and/or social studies. Teaching qualifications for other grades are an advantage.
You have the ability to work independently and goal-oriented based on the primary school curriculum, as well as interdisciplinary in a team with other colleagues. You should be familiar with current curricula, digital tools, and be able to adapt and analyze according to students' needs, as well as being confident in assessment and grading.
If you wish to work for a longer period than the two weeks offered by the summer school, you can check for summer substitute needs at gotland.se/ledigajobb (https://gotland.se/ledigajobb).
