An opportunity has opened up to step into a role where technology, production, and societal benefit meet. At our client, you will work closely with production and contribute to equipment that ultimately helps healthcare discover and understand serious diseases. Here, you will have the opportunity to influence quality, safety, and efficiency in a technologically advanced environment, while working in an engaged team where collaboration and improvement work are at the center. We are looking for someone who thrives in a role with both technical responsibility and operational work, and who wants to make a real difference. We look forward to your application!
About the position
The organization is part of the high-tech medical technology industry and develops advanced equipment used in modern healthcare diagnostics. Here, engineers and specialists work with technology that ultimately helps doctors worldwide detect and understand complex diseases. A central part of the operation is the development and manufacturing of cyclotrons, advanced machines that produce radioactive substances used in PET scans. These substances enable the creation of detailed images of what happens in the body and play a crucial role in the diagnosis of diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's, and cardiovascular diseases. The organization also develops systems that measure and control radiation to ensure that diagnostics are carried out safely, reliably, and with quality control. This means that the technology developed here is not only advanced, but it is also an important part of the future of medical diagnostics.
In the role of calibration engineer, you will be an important part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, which is responsible for production changes, deviation management, calibration, process development, Lean work, and projects related to the manufacturing process. You will belong to the part of the team that focuses on future solutions and project-oriented improvements, which means that the role is not only operational but also development-oriented. A central part of the work is to ensure that all tools and instruments on site are correctly calibrated and meet the requirements set in medical technology production.
As a calibration engineer, you will have significant ownership of the process. You will plan, coordinate, and follow up on calibrations for the entire site, work in a calibration system where all tools and instruments are registered, send tools to external laboratories, and perform internal calibrations when needed. When the instruments return, you will review the certificates, interpret the results, and ensure that the documentation is correct and complete. If an instrument is not approved during calibration, you will take the initiative and coordinate an investigation to understand how the instrument has been used and whether it may have affected production or quality previously. In these situations, you will collaborate closely with various functions within the organization to ensure correct and structured handling.
The role also involves close collaboration with production, where you provide technical support, identify improvement opportunities, and drive initiatives that increase quality, safety, and efficiency in the manufacturing process. Through cross-functional collaboration, you will gain a broad understanding of the entire production flow.
This is a consulting assignment, which means you will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant for our client. The assignment will be full-time and is expected to last at least until the end of April 2027. There are good chances for extension and direct recruitment, provided that there is room for it and that all parties are satisfied with the collaboration.

- Visible impact on production – you work right in the business and affect safety, quality, cost, and efficiency, while seeing your improvements yield measurable results

- Drive continuous improvement – initiate new processes and ways of working, improve quality, reduce costs, and enhance safety
- Cross-functional collaboration and ownership – work closely with production, quality, and engineering, and take responsibility for calibration activities that provide both technical depth and operational credibility
- Development opportunities – a strong platform for those who want to grow within technology, production, and operational leadership
