Do you want to work closely with production and make a real difference in a technologically advanced environment? A role where you can combine technical leadership, problem-solving, and improvement work.
As a Production Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering Team within Supply Chain at our client – a team consisting of 11 engineers with broad expertise in production, quality, calibration, and process development. Together, you will work closely with production to ensure efficient processes and high product quality.
In this role, you will work operationally and closely with the business, focusing on identifying areas for improvement, solving technical problems, and driving development in production. You will also have an important responsibility for calibration and coordination of production-related activities.
Responsibilities
- Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and ensuring implementation in production
- Work together with production personnel to solve manufacturing and quality issues related to methods, processes, tools, equipment, and product design
- Be responsible for and coordinate the calibration of tools and equipment on-site and perform internal calibration of selected tools
- Coordinate manufacturing releases (production approvals/releases)
- Contribute to the development and improvement of processes within production and supply chain
This is a full-time consulting assignment starting in May and running for a year with opportunities for extension or employment with the client for the right person. You will be employed by us at StudentConsulting but will work at the client's premises in Uppsala.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Requirements
- Engineering degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or similar (alternatively YH + experience or high school education + longer experience)
- Experience from production, engineering, or troubleshooting
- Knowledge of calibration requirements and standards
- Understanding of work according to ISO 13485
- Good analytical and planning skills
- Fluent in Swedish and English
Meritorious
- Master's degree in engineering or business
- Experience in project work
- Experience in the medical technology industry
- Experience in improvement work and best practices
