Assistant Nurse/Caregiver for Specialist Psychiatric Care Team (SPOT)

The psychiatric care in Region Gävleborg is in the midst of an exciting transformation, and we are now establishing a Specialist Psychiatric Care Team (SPOT). The team works closely with patients at a care level between outpatient and inpatient care, providing more tailored assistance where the patient is. This may include suicide risk assessments, crisis planning, anxiety management, supportive conversations, and help with medication adherence. The SPOT team collaborates with municipalities and other key stakeholders to provide more cohesive support to the patient.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will play a key part in developing methods and routines that benefit our patients and their relatives. Your ability to create safety and build strong relationships will be crucial for the team's success.

Your main responsibilities include:

• home visits
• telephone counseling
• supportive conversations
• clinic visits
• collaboration with various stakeholders through cooperation meetings or SIP.

QUALIFICATIONS

As an assistant nurse/caregiver with us, you will be an important part of an engaged team that is building an operation from the ground up. We are looking for someone who is proactive, sees what needs to be done, and is not afraid to think outside the box. You are creative and willing to try new methods and approaches while being self-driven and comfortable with taking responsibility and engaging in new tasks with great enthusiasm. Additionally, you are structured and detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture.

To succeed in this role, you should:

• be a qualified assistant nurse or caregiver
• have experience working in psychiatric care
• have a B driver's license.

For this position, it is an advantage if you have experience with mobile work.

Information about the title Assistant Nurse

As of July 1, 2023, the title Assistant Nurse has become a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title Assistant Nurse within healthcare and social services. You can apply for the certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in healthcare and social services but with a different title than Assistant Nurse. In Region Gävleborg, this means that the title in your employment contract will be Care Assistant until your certificate is submitted.
