Care Assistants Wanted for Kaprifol and Österängen Care and Nursing Home - 6 positions 100%

Kaprifol Care and Nursing Home is one of Uddevalla's smallest care and nursing homes with 3 units focused on those with cognitive impairment/dementia.

The residence is located in Äsperöd, in eastern Uddevalla, and has a beautiful garden with fruit trees and flowers.

Österängen Care and Nursing Home is Uddevalla's largest residence for people with cognitive impairment/dementia. Adjacent to it is a large park with pergolas, berry bushes, and fruit trees. Österängen is close to both nature and Uddevalla city center.

Our focus is on elderly care that promotes well-being, participation, and quality of life for our residents and their relatives.

Your working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and every other weekend. Österängen/Kaprifol Care and Nursing Home has a close collaboration to support each other and develop our working methods together. This means that part of your working hours may also be performed at Österängen or Kaprifol, but your primary service will be at one of the care and nursing homes.

Job Description

In your work, you start from the strengths of the user and utilize their own abilities. You document according to current legislation and establish and work from implementation plans. You are also a primary care contact who helps the user articulate their needs and wishes, and you are responsible for coordinating care for the individual.

The workday can sometimes turn out differently than planned because you work with people, so you maintain calm and can reprioritize your tasks as needed. We value good collaboration and therefore seek someone who can see the whole picture and is willing to help across unit boundaries.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities are to perform care interventions, both independently and together with colleagues, as well as to carry out delegated health and medical care tasks from licensed personnel. The tasks include everything from personal care, support during meals, encouragement and support in social and meaningful activities, as well as collaboration with relatives.

Qualifications

You have completed the care program with full grades or have other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have work experience in caring for individuals with dementia. You can express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish. You have good computer skills and find it easy to learn to use new IT systems or digital aids.

It is an advantage if you have experience working with the BPSD and Senior Alert methods. Good knowledge in palliative care or experience working in psychiatry/addiction is also meritorious.
