Occupational Therapist to the Rehabilitation Unit
The Rehabilitation Unit is responsible for the rehabilitation of patients admitted to home healthcare, nursing homes, short-term units, and day activities within elderly care, disability services, and social psychiatry. The operation is part of the health and care sector, Skövde municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The work of an occupational therapist within home healthcare is independent and involves assessing, planning, organizing, and implementing rehabilitation efforts, assistive device assessments, and treatments for the patients you are responsible for.
The work is varied and requires you to be flexible and able to quickly prioritize when circumstances change. You work to ensure that the patient's daily life functions, for example, by resolving the transfer situation upon discharge from the hospital, training ADL, optimizing sitting, and compensating for cognitive impairment.
You are jointly responsible for the patient's rehabilitation process with the physiotherapist and participate in interdisciplinary teams together with nurses, nursing assistants, care assessors, and unit managers. You also have close contact with relatives and are an important link in the care chain. As an occupational therapist with us, you are responsible for guiding and delegating tasks to care and support staff and providing support to other team members around the patient. Contributing to the improvement work of the organization is a natural part of your job.
Solution-focused and unpretentious collaboration is a significant part of your role and a success factor in the assignment. You need to be able to work with both acute issues and long-term goals.
We work daytime on weekdays.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist who appreciates the breadth and variety within home healthcare. Experience from municipal rehabilitation or similar is an advantage.
You are a positive person with good communication skills who easily builds relationships with colleagues, patients, and relatives. You are confident and work independently but also take responsibility in teamwork through close collaboration with other professionals. You are flexible and have the ability to prioritize when necessary. You master the Swedish language both in speech and writing. A B driver's license for a manual transmission vehicle is a requirement. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
